Alpha Red, TNC, FrostFire, and Revolution were top four at the WESG SEA Finals, earning spots at the World Finals set to take place in China next year.
Kuala Lumpur played host to the 10-team WESG 2018 SEA Finals, where a best-of-one group stage was played to get the top four teams that would be moving on to the WESG 2018 World Finals, which will be played in Chongqing in March.
The four teams that came out on top and booked a spot in the World Finals were Alpha Red from Thailand, TNC from The Philippines, FrostFire from Malaysia, and Revolution from Vietnam.
Those same four teams then went on to play a best-of-three single elimination playoff. The first round saw Alpha Red beat Revolution, while TNC took down the Malaysian side, FrostFire. It was finally Alpha Red who took the $7,500 grand prize after beating the Philipino team in a three map final.
The final standings at the WESG 2018 SEA Finals are:
